The Marthaodyssey / The Metamarthasis

The Marthaodyssey and the Metamarthasis are dance works for the stage that have been performed at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, Live Artery and New York Live Arts in association with the Martha Graham Company, The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater, NYC, and Red Eye, NYC. An upcoming tour will take the work to the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC, Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, ME, and more. The Marthaodyssey is a play on the words “odyssey” and “Martha”, this ongoing series builds imagined combinations of archival movement and themes in the canon of Martha Graham with popular music and takes delight in the dissonant intersections of these worlds.
